Problem Statement

A growing IT company in Coimbatore had recently secured a new client project. Before starting the engagement, the client wanted to interview each team member to ensure they could communicate fluently, articulate ideas clearly, and maintain a friendly, conversational tone. The company needed a quick and reliable way to assess their employees’ communication readiness before the client interaction.

Challenge

The management had limited time and no existing framework to measure communication skills objectively. They needed a manual, short-duration assessment that could accurately evaluate spoken English proficiency and identify training needs — without disrupting their ongoing work.

Implementation

Chrrizling designed a custom communication assessment framework aligned with the client’s expectations. Each employee participated in a 5-minute live assessment, evaluated on the following parameters:

  • Articulation

  • Clarity

  • Fluency

  • Interaction

  • Grammar

  • Vocabulary

Participants were categorized as:

  • A – Ready

  • B – Ready with some training

  • C – Not ready

The assessment was conducted entirely manually, ensuring personalized feedback and human evaluation of conversational skills.

Outcome

The results helped the management select the most client-ready employees for the upcoming project and plan targeted communication training for the others.
